Dr. Robbin Gibb Presentation - Monday, May 12

On Monday, May 12th from 6 pm – 6:45 pm in the Learning Commons at GPMS, Dr. Robbin Gibb, a neuroscience researcher at the University of Lethbridge, has conducted extensive work on brain development and how early experiences shape cognitive abilities in the teenage brain. Her research emphasizes the importance of nurturing environments and enriched learning experiences in fostering critical thinking skills in adolescents. Gibb highlights that adolescence is a key period of brain plasticity, during which targeted educational strategies can significantly influence cognitive growth. By applying neuroscience-informed practices in classrooms, educator and parents/guardians we hope to better support the development of analytical and problem-solving skills in their students and children.
