Welcome Back – School Start-Up Information

We hope your family has had an excellent summer and we are excited for an awesome 2022-23 school year at GPMS! Please note some important dates and information for start-up this fall.

· The School Office opens for any registration inquiries on Wednesday August 24th. Office hours from Aug. 24-Sept. 2 are 8AM-4PM on Mon-Thurs and 8AM-12PM on Friday. If you have any questions, please call Leanna or Jennifer at 403-329-0125.

· Grade 6 Open House – Thursday September 1st from 12:00-2:00PM – Grade 6 students are encouraged to drop by during this time to visit the school again and look around, meet our staff and pick up your locks to practice at home. Please use the front door.

· Supply Lists – see the attached link for a supply list. This basic list will apply for all grades. Click Here to view Supply List

· PowerSchool and Class Information – PowerSchool will be open on Friday Sept. 2 at 12:00PM for parents and students to view class and option information. Families will also receive an email welcoming them from their core teachers on this day that will contain information on where to go on the first day of school.

· First Day of School – Staggered Entry – ONLY Grade 6 students will start on Tuesday Sept. 6th and will have a full day. Please see the attached link to the bell schedule. Click Here to View Bell Schedule Students will need a lunch the first day. ONLY Grade 7/8 students will attend on Wednesday Sept. 7th and will also need a lunch that day. ALL students attend on Thursday Sept. 8th and regular class schedules will commence.

· Bus Routes and Information – This information will be posted the week prior to school on the Division and School websites. We will also send out links and information at this time. Routes will run the first day of school and students will receive their bus passes on the first day. We will send out and post to the website https://gp.lethsd.ab.ca/ any other reminders and relevant information prior to the long weekend.
